Hair care treatments for those who have colored their hair

It doesn’t matter if you have platinum blonde, brunette, black, red, or even blue hair, you always need to give extra attention to your hair if you want your hair color to last longer. It will be very sad if you don’t take that extra care of your hair and then after one week your hair color has faded away. Then all the money that you have spent for that beautiful hair will be a waste. We have bought you some exclusive secrets that you can use to keep your hair color in a perfect state for a long time. Toni and Guy Cherooty has the best hair color service in town

Tip 1:

You need to wait for 72 hours before you shampoo your hair. When you color your hair then you open up the cuticle layer of your scalp. This makes it easy for the hair color to penetrate on the hair. If you wash your hair too soon after getting your hair color done then the cuticle layer which is still open will lead your hair color to be washed off. It will take you three full days to fully close the cuticle layer. The longer you will wait to wash off your hair after doing hair color, the longer time you will give your hair cuticle to soak the color pigment in your hair. This will help you make your hair color stay longer.

Tip 2:

Using a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner will help you to take care of your coloured hair in a better way. Sodium laureth sulfate, also known as sodium laureth ether sulfate is a type of anionic detergent which you will find in many personal care products. This material is included in your shampoo and conditioner to produce more foaming effect in your shampoo and conditioner. But if you use sulfate on your hair you may strip your hair of its natural oils and moisture. This stripping will also lead you to strip down your beautifully colored hair on which you have spent so much of your money. It is best to use any sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner that will prevent your hair colour from fading. There are so many options of sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner available in the market and you can buy any one of it.

Tip 3:

You can try adding dye in your conditioner. If you have colored your hair in pink, purple, or even blue, you can add a little bit of dye into your conditioner when washing hair. This method will slightly re-dye your hair every time you wash it. This will also keep your hair looking fresh.

Tip 4:

Remember to turn down the water temperature when you are shampooing. We know that you love to take hot showers but do you know that taking hot showers isn’t a great idea when you have colored your hair. If you wash your hair with warm water then you are helping your hair’s cuticles to open up. This will cause you to wash out your hair colour while you are shampooing. Despite showering in hot water try to shower in mildly warm water when you are shampooing, then rinse your hair with cold water after conditioning. Lukewarm water will help you to penetrate and cleanse your scalp while you shampoo and use conditioner in your hair.

Tip 5:

Try to wash your hair less often. If you are washing your hair everyday then your hair color is not going to last longer. This will also cause you to wash off all the natural hair oils from your scalp and also wash off your hair color.
